Privacy policy

JavaScript QR Code does not collect, send or sell any data, and it has no analytics. There is no server of mine.

• QR codes are created and read inside your browser. What you type never leaves your computer or phone.
• Scanning the page uses a picture of the visible tab, analysed locally. Reading an image from the right-click menu downloads that image without cookies.
• The camera is used only after you press “Start camera”; its frames are analysed in the page and never sent anywhere. Your position is read only when you press “Use my position”.
• Stored in the add-on's local storage and removed when you uninstall it: your settings and, if you keep it on, the history of codes (it can be turned off or cleared).

Links you open from a scanned code are ordinary links that you choose to open.
